MTA Queensland Celebrates Import of Electric Mopeds
e-Motion Concepts (eMC) is a Brisbane-based mobility solutions company focused on the needs of the first and last mile transportation of goods in cities. The business will become the exclusive importer, distributor and service agent for two vehicle models CT-KARGO and CT-KUBE, which are fully electric, three-wheel mopeds.
In a major win for the business, eMC has received approval this week for the two vehicles from the Australian Road Vehicle Safety authority which will permit them to import and supply the vehicles.
Both the CT-KARGO and CT-KUBE are smart electric vehicles for last mile transport solutions in urban environments. They are powered by high quality motors and fueled by Lithium batteries, have a range of up to 110km per charge and a top speed of 50 km/h, and with a diameter under 1m they are perfect for inner city deliveries.
The CT-KARGO can safely deliver items from an inbound distribution warehouse to the customer or from a business to an outbound distribution centre for further on-sending by road or air. The KARGO is perfectly suited to transport items such as mail and parcels, supermarket or hospital items, building materials and retail deliveries.
The CT-KUBE is the ideal solution for moving all types of food and beverage, flowers, medicines and time critical deliveries connected to pathology and documentation.
The anticipated price for the CT-KARGO is $16,000 and the CT-KUBE is $14,000 with potentially further discounts for fleet buyers.
Dr Brett Dale, Group Chief Executive for MTA Queensland said, “MTA Queensland has proudly supported eMC’s journey by assisting with homologation process. These vehicles are smart, clean, innovative and connected. They are designed to be manoeuvrable in city spaces and have low environmental impact which supports sustainable fleets. Among the benefits for fleets are less repairs due to less parts, reduced servicing costs and alignment with a business’s corporate responsibility policies.”
Wolfgang Roffmann, founder and CTO of eMC said, “We are very pleased to have these vehicles approved for import and sale, having passed the safety requirements. The vehicles will provide a solution to city transportation for deliveries that is safe, environmentally beneficial and packed with features like GPS tracking and remote fleet management.
“The vehicles are manufactured by RAP SEV in China, a business that exclusively produces intelligent electric vehicles for export markets. We are really excited to launch these vehicles into the Australian market.”
