e-Motion Concept goes WYLD on World EV Day
The global electric vehicle (EV) community came together on Wednesday 9 September to celebrate the inaugural World EV Day, with events being held worldwide to celebrate all things eMobility.
The day was extra special for MTAiQ client e-Motion Concepts (EMoS), who celebrated the day by launching their latest e-mobility device, the chopper style electric WYLD moped, which has just recently received compliance approval in Australia.
Equipped with wide tyres and single seating, the WYLD has been designed with the ‘urban bikie’ in mind, combining first- and last-mile mobility with the fun and comfort of the chopper styling.
With a top speed of 50kmh, the EV is more than capable of zipping through inner-city urban traffic, its intended purpose, while offering the rider the coolness and comfort of a chopper.
The 50kmh speed limit also allows the EV to be operated by car drivers license holders in Queensland, the Northern Territory, South Australia, and Western Australia.
The WYLD is EMoS’ latest effort to push the boundary when it comes to the style, comfort and capabilities when it comes to electric mobility. Company Founder and Chief Technology Officer Wolfgang Roffmann said the WYLD was their most daring EV yet, as they continue to strive to give customers more.
“We want our vehicles to give our customers more. More safety, more agility and more fun,” said Roffmann. Just putting an electric motor into the frames of previously offered vehicles is not making use of the design freedom the use of electric motors and batteries can provide.”
Co-founder and CEO Harry Proskefallas said the WYLD encapsulated the company’s mantra of thinking outside the box when it comes to electric urban transport solutions.
“Our philosophy has been from the start to be “different” we want people to turn their heads for our vehicles, we want them to be excited about the form and the function and to make a statement for electric vehicles and that is the same for the WYLD which was “Born to be WYLD”,” said Proskefalas.
The WYLD is available through the EMoS website, with prices starting from $2,999 and joins the iLARK, CT-KARGO and CT-KUBE in the EMoS line-up.
